Sidelines Magazine — Cornell Equestrian

Everything during Covid moved slower and this project evolved over a year. I heard of Maeve, a young girl who was adopted by the Cornell Equestrian team as she fought and won a battle with cancer.

The story was so compelling, I pitched the idea to Sidelines Magazine and they jumped at the opportunity to run this project.

As Maeve had a compromised immune system, we had to take extra precautions when shooting.

We scheduled a second session later in the year after team members and the head coach were vaccinated so the audience would be able to see their faces while ensuring at all times Maeve had been kept safe.
